About the Baby Rubber Plant

With its highly ornamental appearance, thanks to the saucer-like, glossy green leaves and thick stems the Peperomia Obtusifolia, or Baby Rubber Plant makes for an alluring addition to any indoor setting.

Whilst not a member of the succulent family, these plants share similar characteristics making them an excellent option for the beginner houseplant enthusiast. These plants are relatively drought-tolerant, as they store water in their leaves, making them capable of withstanding mild laxness.

Peperomia Obtusifolia stay relatively compact making them a distinct and appealing addition to displays of indoor greenery.

Your Baby Rubber Plant currently lives in a 12cm diameter nursery pot.

They're 20cm from pot base to leaf tip and can grow to be 30-40cm in height and spread

Care Guide

Baby Rubber Plants prefer moderate to bright indirect sunlight. Avoid intense direct sunlight such as south-facing windows.

These plants are succulent-like, storing water in their leaves for later use. Water when the soil dries out entirely.

Due to their compact form these plants do not need to be repotted regularly, and actually prefer to be somewhat pot-bound.

Peperomias are non-toxic to both humans and pets and are therefore part of our Child & Pet-Friendly Collection.
