Care Guide
Calatheas thrive best in spaces have bright indirect sunlight. Place these plants near windows in South or West facing rooms but avoid placing them in a spot that is likely to receive prolonged intense direct light as this may scorch their leaves.
Water little and often. They prefer damp soil, but don’t enjoy being overwatered, so balance is needed.
Like all Prayer Plants, this plant prefers distilled or rainwater. Browning can occur on the tips of the leaves with regular use of tap water, particularly if the water in your area is typically hard and mineral dense.
Calatheas are considered to be non-toxic to humans and pets and are part of our Child & Pet Friendly Collection.
Your Calathea Ornata - Prayer Plant can reach a height 150cm with time and the right care and attention.
