About the Monkey Mask Monstera

The fascinating form and appearance of the Monstera Monkey Mask is sure to draw curious eyes towards it. A close relative of the hugely popular Monstera Deliciosa - Swiss Cheese Plant, these plants also feature the familiar and fascinating holes, or fenestrations, that allows light to pass through to the plant's lower leaves.

Native to Central and South America these plants vine up adjacent trees in order to get better exposure to the dappled sunlight through the forest canopy above.

Your Monkey Mask Monstera currently lives in a 12cm diameter nursery pot.

They're 40cm in height from pot base to leaf tip and are capable of reaching 180cm in height if supported.

Whilst we maintain the best standard possible, plants can vary slightly from the photograph from season to season.

Care Guide

These plants thrive best in bright indirect sunlight. While they can tolerate moderate light, they are likely to grow more slowly and produce smaller leaves with less fenestrations.

Monstera Monkey Masks originate in the Rainforests of Central and South America so prefer to stay in moist but not soggy soil. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings.

Occasional pruning of this plant will help to maintain your desired form and also promote new growth. Regularly remove damaged or browning leaves.

These plants are considered to be toxic if ingested so it is best to keep them out of reach of curious children and pets.

Your Monstera Obliqua - Monkey Mask Monstera is capable of growing 180cm in length or height depending on whether they are grown as a trailing plant or climbing plant.
